LiberettoStone is a mix of resin and fine stone properties that is cast and polished to create beautiful bathroom pieces. The Ebony & Ivory collection is a handmade product which has the benefits of stone – easy-to-clean and unparalleled strength. Due to the manufacturing process and the nature of cast stone the polished surface of a black shower base may appear uneven (white shower bases do not reflect light in the same way), this is normal. While being durable, LiberettoStone is polish-able in order to remove any small imperfections that may occur during everyday use.
For everyday cleaning after use, simply wipe with a soft wet cloth to remove any surface dirt. Your shower base may occasionally require a mildly abrasive product to erase stubborn marks (Autosol is widely available at Repco, SuperCheap and Mitre 10). Never use petroleum-based products when cleaning. eg. paint thinners or other solvents, as they may damage the solid surface. Please note some popular bathroom cleaners can adversely affect the surface, contact Atlantis if you have questions regarding a specific cleaner.
In the unlikely event that your shower base is scratched during the handling or installation. Polishing the shower tray will remove any light scratches or imperfections in the surface. For surface scratches it is recommended that the base be sanded, start by using 800 grit sandpaper, gradually change your grades of sandpaper. Then 1200, 1500, 2000 finishing with a G3 polishing compound. Deeper scratches start sanding the surface with a 400 grit, 600, 800, 1000, 12000, 1500, 2000 grit sandpaper, finish off using G3 polishing compound. If you do not have access to a buffing wheel, hand polish with a microfibre cloth for minor imperfections.
